Client-side and server-side validations on view models

Hi,

I am working through your solution and it is well structured. I just have a couple of questions and I am hoping that you can help in answering it.

How do I validate a view model on the server side? Currently it seems like it is relying on client side validations. If I were to remove the following on the LogOn.cshtml:
@Html.Raw(Model.Validate(new Trul.Framework.Rules.ValidateSettings
{
     FormID = "LogOnForm",
     SubmitControlID = "btnLogin"
}))
...then no validation are done on the view model. If no username or password are entered then ModelState.IsValid) is still true.

Are there any plans to upgrade Entity Framework to version 6?

Are there any plans to maybe include another IoC like Autofac. I would really like to see how Autofac would fit into your solution.

Keep up the good work. Can we chat offline?

Hi there.

Did you get any of those questions answered? I have similar questions.

Hi,

Nope sorry I didn't get an answer. I really like the way how he laid out his solution.
